2012 is the German opera composer, Friedrich von Flotow's 200th anniversary. To celebrate this, Carl together with Polish cellist Estera Rajnicka, recorded the "6 Melodien" Flotow wrote together with Jacques Offenbach - which in turn is best known for his operettas. The music, written in Paris by then, two famous composers, is easy-listening as it's best; full of love and life, to be enjoyed by everyone. Perhaps that is why Estera and Carl have been invited to perfom these pieces at two international music festivals this summer. The disc? It will be released by Sterling in June. |

Together with the award winning polish Archetti Chamber Orchestra, Carl is scheduled to perform Camille Saint-Saëns most famous composition. Under the direction of the upcoming Polish conductor Maciej Koczur and together with polish pianist Ewa Ksiazek, they will present this, by Camille Saint-Saëns hated - but by the audience loved orchestral work. The suite was originally designed as exercises for Saint-Saëns's own students and the composer forbade all performances of the work during his lifetime. Ironically, today, this is one of Saint-Saens today most played works. Two performances are given in the Polish city of Jaworzno, June 2012.

The released discs Carl made for Sterling keep on getting glowing reviews. The CD with Godowskys "Java Suite" was picked as the classical album of the month in the Swedish edition of Hi-Fi & Music and the acknowledged swedish newspaper "Göteborgsposten" called it a baffeling showcase of virtuosity. American Record Guide does not only say that Carl executes the showmanship of the works but that he also is a very fine musician and that he should record Debussys preludes. Fanfare Magazine recommends and agrees that this is an impressive performance captured; a significant alternative to the famous Budiardjo recording. The CD with Flotows piano concertos is by the American Record Guide called a fascinating disc - and they are not alone, the German "Klassik Magazin" wrote that it is due to Peterssons spirited interpretation the music is as good as it is and the French "Diapason" awarded the disc a prestigious recommendation.
